Pick the report, queue it and leave the page. It builds in the background, so a long date range does not hold a browser open, and the finished file lands in private storage with an expiry date already on it. The job list shows what is still building and what is ready, and the download link is good for a couple of minutes, to whoever holds the permission that report itself needs.
